Zoo and Museum 

Thrissur Zoo and Museum started in 1885. It is located 2 km away from the Thrissur Town. This is around 13.5 acres of the compound with a variety of fauna like the lion tailed macaque, sloth bear, different species of birds and deer.

 The snake park has a reptilian collection of King Cobras, Cobras, Python, Kraits, Vipers and Rat Snakes.  Zoo and Museum offers an amazing experience for children and research students.

The art museum housed in a separate building is a treat for the connoisseur of art. It has beautiful and rare exhibit including sculpture, religious idols, Kathakali figures, traditional jewellery of Kerala and votive objects with a really delightful collections of traditional lamps.
