Athirappally waterfalls

Athirappally is the land of rivers and forest and great waterfalls. It is the largest waterfall in Kerala. It is situated on the edge of Sholayar forest ranges. This sparking cascade of silvery water falls from a height of about 80 meters to join Chalakudy River.

We can walk through the rock pathway that leads from the main entrance; it will give amazing view from the top of the waterfall. That walk is adventurous also.  The cool misty waters cascading down in the backdrop of the thick green forests and rocks are a dazzling experience to any visitors.

There is a fantastic view from the bottom of the waterfalls which can be reached with little bit of trekking on the top of the slippery rocks. It is a beautiful trail and you can enjoy the water from the falls sprinkling all over you.

I was visited here with my family and enjoyed the beauty of the Landscape and waterfalls.
